Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgery that uses a scope, a camera and a light source to view an internal area in a monitor. We perform many a successful knee ligament reconstructions and shoulder repairs using an arthroscope.The patient often returns home on the same day of the surgery, and can resume regular activities in just a few days or weeks.

Dr Mahanta is a Joint Replacement & Arthroscopy Surgeon with more than 15 years experience in orthopaedics.
After completing his Senior Registrarship from DDU Hospital, New Delhi he joined Indraprastha Apollo Hospital as a Junior Consultant in the Joint Replacement and Arthroscopy Unit. He did 6 months fellowship in Joint Replacement at Apollo Hospital and was exposed to all types of Primary, Complex and Revision Knee & Hip Arthroplasties and all types of Knee & Shoulder Arthroscopies.
Dr Mahanta then moved on and worked as a Specialist in Orthopaedics in a Delhi Govt. Hospital for 4 years where he performed a fair number of Joint Replacements, Arthroscopies & Complex Trauma Surgeries. Then he joined The Metro Hospital & Heart Institute, Gurgaon as a senior consultant where he worked for a few years. He has attended a number of national and international conferences, training programmes and workshops in arthroscopy and arthroplasty. He also has a number of publications to his credit.
Dr Mahanta is the Director and Chief Orthopaedic Consultant at The Bone Clinic. He is also a Visiting Consultant at Aakash
Healthcare, Dwarka and Maggo Hospital, Uttam Nagar.
He also visits hospitals in Guwahati to do Joint Replacements & Arthroscopic Surgeries once or twice a month.
When out of office Dr Mahanta is a football enthusiast and follows the Major European League games. His favorite team is Barcelona and his favorite player is Messi. He also travels a lot and in extended weekends he is sure to be found in nearby hill stations.

Dr Sonia Singh is the Senior Physiotherapist of The Bone Clinic. She has a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy and further the Masters degree (MPT) in the stream of Sports injuries from the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi. She has worked as a lecturer in Prakash Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and has been in clinical practice since last seven years. She has attended various workshops and conferences related to her subject.
